Traditional draw and colored in PS with my new Bamboo  Playing with this was fun. I dont know how to add shadow to patterns yet though...

This is my entry for the contest over at :iconacerotiburonfc:

I chose to do the girls Antonia and Elllie at the beach. I love girlie moments so I think thats why I chose them. That and I am HORRIBLE at drawing dudes. I don't know if I will win this contest, but I certainly wanted to enter. I enjoy the comic strips. Thanks again guys for giving me this chance! And thank you Antonia for such cute fun characters.

Credit to where it is do.

[link] I didn't use but I referenced a base on here, but they did not post the original pic, so if you find that let me know.

Patterns used were, [link] and [link]

And that's it.

Don't know cause I looked at a base, [link] Perhaps that user did too. It's all written in the artist description if you didn't catch that.

lol. Yeah, I use to eye bases when drawing, and I've learned its not such a great idea because so many others do it. I'm not saying that user did they may have or may not have. But I have definitely learned to stray from using bases as reference.

I would recommend using actual photos of poses you want to draw. That way you can see any natural curves or contours. :)

Thats what I have been doing. Taking pictures and using them, or looking at some of the stock poses people do on here. I actually have been finding it easier to learn, and I'm liking my art more this way.

that's very good :) It's helped me a lot as well. Also, if you can draw live models that is always fun :D
